Everything we know about the Redmi K30

Xiaomi is about to unveil the successor of Redmi K20. The event will take place in China on the 10TH of December, and we hope to learn more about the device. Xiaomi Redmi K30, however, has been on the rumor mill for some time now, and in this post is everything we know about the device.

The device will feature a 6.67-inch display, that’s more like a tablet though. It will run the latest 700-series chipset, announced a couple of days ago. The chipset, like the predecessor, has a game-centric model, SD765G SoC, and that will debut with the K30.

Qualcomm equipped the SD 765G SoC with the X55 modem, which supports 5G connectivity, meaning Redmi K30 will support a 5G connection. Meanwhile, the company CEO already confirmed the news a couple of months ago.

From the news, Redmi K30 will come in multiple memory variants, 6GB, 8GB, 12GB, and up to 256GB internal storage. And for the first time, Xiaomi will place the fingerprint scanner at the frame, while the phone will feature a 4500mAh battery.

The battery will support 30W Quickcharge, which will charge your device from 0-100 in an hour. According to the company, the 30W Quick charge will be different from everything we have seen yet. It will be equipped with an independent charge pump and a charging conversion efficiency of 97%.

The Redmi K30 will be the second Xiaomi device, to feature the 64MP camera module, but first to use Sony’s IMX 686 sensor. The primary sensor will have an F/1.7 aperture, while the wide-angle lens will feature a Fov, and completing the lineup will be the macro and depth effect sensor. On the front is a dual punch hole, with a 20MP lens fitted in one of them.

Xiaomi Redmi K30 will come in Purple Shade and Red Gradient colors. For pricing, there’s no official pricing, but based on the device features, it will likely start from $400. The 5G variant, however, will cost a few bucks, but a 4G variant is always an option.
