First MIUI 12 Beta update starts arriving.
Xiaomi, on April 27, 2020, announced it’s new MIUI 12 UI based on Android OS. And a few hours after the unveiling, the first MIUI 12 Beta update starts arriving. The update is hitting the Chinese version of Redmi 7 currently. It’s coming with a build number MIUI 12.20.4.27 and weighs in at 3.0GB.
As expected, the first MIUI 12 Beta update is arriving with loads of features. You can find all the features on the changelog below.

Apart from the changes that appeared on the changelog, there are other features that you will notice after downloading the update. They include a new notification bar, unified font, revamped camera UI, and more.
As usual, the update is arriving in batches and will take some time before getting to all registered devices. That’s because the current rollout is for the Close Beta group, as such, you need to register before you can receive the update. To register, follow this link, but before you might need to check if your device is eligible for Beta testing.
The public will start receiving the update towards the end of June. Unfortunately, that’s for the Chinese models. There’s still no information as to when the global users will be getting the update, but it’s expected to start arriving before the end of next month.
