Xiaomi has been testing Android 11 internally for some of its devices, and among them is the Mi CC9 Pro marketed globally as Mi Note 10. The testing has been on until recently when the weekly MIUI 12 closed beta ROM got suspended due to the National day holiday in China.
The company has since resumed the deployment of weekly updates with eligible devices now receiving the latest MIUI 12 closed beta ROM, which has a version number V12.20.10.14. Going by the version number, the update started arriving today, and on the Mi CC9 Pro/ Mi Note 10, it brings the Android 11 build along with lots of improvement and optimization.
Unfortunately, not everyone is eligible for this update. Only those on the Chinese branch of MIUI and also participating in the MIUI 12 closed beta testing will receive the update via OTA or flash the recovery ROM. However, if you have got TWRP Recovery installed, you can make use of it to side-load the MIUI 12 ROM based on Android 11 on your Mi CC9 Pro/ Mi Note 10.
Meanwhile, the new China MIUI 12 developer ROM brings lots of features to the Mi browser. It has added a new multi-window page and a new function to easily restore closed web pages.
