Since the discovery of this issue on the smartwatch, it hasn’t been traced to any firmware exactly. Two members of 9to5google.com’s team tried using the Fitbit Charge 5 and didn’t experience the disconnection issues. However, a writer on the same site later found out about the Fitbit Charge 5 disconnection issues as it disconnected and refused to connect to his phone.
But this was “temporarily fixed” with a reboot but at the cost of some of his Fitbit data. Fortunately, sources have confirmed that Fitbit is planning on fixing this issue soon as this was confirmed by the Fitbit Forum moderator. We don’t know when the fix will arrive but we will keep an eye out for it, meanwhile, you can try rebooting your Fitbit Charge 5 but at the cost of your data.
