MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM 9.1.0 starts arriving on Xiaomi MI 8
Xiaomi has started pushing out its first public update after the closed Beta group received the update a few days ago. The update is hitting MI 8 with a version number, MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM 9.1.10 along with some new features, bug fixes, and system optimization, while some bugs are still there.

Notch
Hide notch option is back with the Global Beta ROM 9.1.10 update. This time is different from what was offered previously but still needs improvement, by adding a permanent notification icon to the status bar.
NFC
The NFC can now be accessed just by swiping the screen down from top to reveal the notification shade, now with a new NFC toggle icon.
Date
Date and time formatting is now better on notification shade, landscape.
Photos
The icon for editing portrait in gallery now looks different.
HDR (fix)
The issue with auto HDR not working properly.
Others
Apart from the changes and fixes that came long with the MIUI 10 Beta ROM 9.1.10, the Security Patch level is now dated 1 December, 2018. Unfortunately, the 4k/1080p@60fps slow-mo video shooting is yet to be back and we think Xiaomi can also do better with the Hide notch implementation.
Meanwhile, if you’re an MI 8 user you need to navigate to the setting, my device, and then scan for the MIUI 10 Beta ROM 9.1.10 update. Be patient if you can’t find the update yet because is normal for a slight delay which is custom with OTA rollouts.
