The wait for a new Android OS for the POCO M3 ended with the release of MIUI 12.5 in Europe. With that, we expected the global version to get the same treatment after some weeks, but that seems not to be the case. That is because the Global POCO M3 is currently receiving a new stable update that sans the much-anticipated MIUI 12.5 update.
Initially, there were doubts if the POCO M3 will get MIUI 12.5 and Android 11 simultaneously. We didn’t only confirm that but also see the device get both upgrades in Europe. With that, we expect the global POCO M3 to receive the update, but it seems the build isn’t ready yet. Perhaps, some issues need to be addressed before the update starts rolling out to the global users.
That said, Xiaomi is rolling out a new stable update to the global POCO M3 units. It’s a security patch build that bumps the Android security patch level to September 2021 to increase system security and stability. As usual, the build has addressed some issues and optimize system performance. Also, it fortifies the device ahead of the planned upgrade to Android 11 and MIUI 12.5.
We recommend that you download and install the Global POCO M3 stable MIUI 12.0.11.0 QJFMIXM. Hopefully, Xiaomi will release the MIUI 12.5 update alongside Android 11 for the device in the coming days. That said, you can check the new update via the updater app or use the links below.
