Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 for POCO M3 released in Europe

Xiaomi has now released the Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 for POCO M3. The rollout has been delayed until now due to a bug, but it seems the company has overcome those challenges and is now seeding the update. Those in Europe are getting the build, which for now is exclusive to Mi Pilots. It should be available to the public in the coming days if there are no reported bugs. However, with the right tools, you can install the build manually.

The Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 for POCO M3 is seeding with a version number – MIUI 12.5.2.0 RJFEUXM. It comes with a stable MIUI based on Android 11 and bumps the Android security patch level to August 2021. That has increased system security and stability while system performance has improved. Also, coming with the update are features of MIUI 12.5. They include instant response to gestures, more rendering power, new device custom model, optimizations, and bug fixes.

These bugs that were fixed affect super wallpaper: wallpaper previews weren’t displayed correctly. Homescreen background went blank, UI element overlap, and more you can find on the update log below. As for when the rollout will extend to other regions, that should happen in the coming weeks. That said, you should keep an eye on our tracker page to know when the update becomes available in your region.

Note: the Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 for POCO M3 is the first cross-section Android upgrade. Hence, we recommend that you backup your data before downloading the update.
