A few hours until MIUI 13 is official, the global Redmi 7A MIUI 12.5 update starts seeding for the first time. The device first received the update in August, but it was the Chinese variant. Two months after the Chinese release, it started seeding for the European users, and now, the global models have started pushing the build.
The Redmi 7A is unlikely to receive the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update, and if that’s the case, we won’t see MIUI 13 for the device. However, we wait until Xiaomi releases the official roadmap tomorrow to see the official list of phones that will receive the upcoming MIUI build. And as we wait for the confirmation, we recommend that you download and install the global Redmi 7A MIUI 12.5 update.
The update is seeding with a version number – MIUI 12.5.2.0 QCMMIXM and weighs in at about 644MB. It comes with expected features – new system sounds, animation, privacy protection, revamped note app, custom device model, optimization, and other improvements. Check out the full changes here.
Aside from the changes, the update has addressed some bugs left by the predecessor while bumping the Android security patch to increase system security and stability. If you’re running the global ROM on your Redmi 7A, you should check the updater app for the update. Also, we have added a link below this post for manual installation.
