Two weeks ago, Xiaomi announced HyperOS to global users alongside the Xiaomi 14 series. The latest flagship phones debuted running the new Android skin on top of Android 14, and now, those devices on the list to get the update, including the Redmi Note 13 series, are getting the update.

Before arriving for global users, the update was already released in India. It has been three weeks since it arrived in China, and we believe the ROM is stable enough as we have not seen major issues. We recommend installing the update when prompted, however, ensure you back up your data before installation.

Meanwhile, the global Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G Android 14-based HyperOS update is rolling out with version number OS1.0.4.0.UNRMIXM and weighs 5.0GB. It comes with all the expected features while bumping the Android security patch level to February 2024 to increase system security and stability.

While HyperOS has redesigned the Control center, it deactivated the quick settings label, which makes it hard for some people to identify them. Fortunately, you can enable it from Settings>>Notifications & Status Bar>>Don’t show the icon label. Deactivate the option to show labels on the quick settings icons when you launch the control center.
