Things took a different turn with the MIUI 12 deployment, which has been on for a while now. Thus far, many Xiaomi phones, including the Redmi Note 9S and Redmi Note 9 Pro, have received the update in some regions. Surprisingly, the global users are not among the few that have received the update with Xiaomi prioritizing the Turkish and Russian variants of the Note 9S. Also, the Indian and Turkish users of the Redmi Note 9 Pro have received the latest Android skin, while the Global users can only wait without any definite ETA.
However, Xiaomi plans to extend the rollout in the coming days, and that will see more users receive the update, and hopefully, the global Redmi Note 9S and Note 9 Pro users as well. With that said, if you are yet to receive the update, there’s no need to panic, especially if you’re on the global channel of MIUI on the aforementioned phones.
And for those running the Turkish and Russian ROM on their Redmi Note 9S, the MIUI 12 update for your device is available for download as well users of Note 9 Pro in Indian and Europe. To download the update head over to these links – Redmi Note 9S / Redmi Note 9 Pro.
After downloading the recovery ROM from the link above, move them to your device’s internal memory and head over to System Updates. Click on the three dots at the right top corner to reveal “choose update package” and click on it. Choose the file you downloaded, and after verification, decrypting will start. For the full tutorials, you should head over to this link.
Again, the global Redmi Note 9S and Note 9 Pro are yet to start receiving the stable MIUI 12 update. We expect the deployment to start later this month, and until then, you can only wait as frequent asking of ETA won’t weaken the arrival.
