Global stable Android 14-based MIUI 14 update is now available for everyone

It’s been weeks since the first Android 14-based MIUI 14 update was released to limited users. The update is now available for everyone, but only a few Xiaomi phones are currently getting the update. It’s rolling out via OTA, and you can check the updater app if your device is among those getting the update.

Xiaomi announced it’s rolling out Android 14-based MIUI 14 to limited users after the official release from Google. The company is now rolling out the update for everyone Globally and in Europe, but it’s currently limited to devices that participated in the beta tests. It means only the Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, and Xiaomi 12T units are being upgraded to Android 14 with a stable MIUI 14 build.

The global stable Android 14-based MIUI 14 update is rolling out with the below build numbers:

  • Xiaomi 13 (Global): MIUI 14.0.6.0 UMCMIXM (Europe): MIUI 14.0.6.0 UMCEUXM
  • Xiaomi 13 Pro (Global): MIUI 14.0.6.0 UMBMIXM | (Europe): MIUI 4.0.6.0UMBEUXM
  • Xiaomi 12T (Global): MIUI 14.0.7.0 ULQMIXM | (Europe): MIUI 14.0.6.0 ULQEUXM

  • Fix: Volume couldn’t be adjusted in some cases
  • Fix: Notification shade disappeared in certain cases
  • Fix: Font size issues in Settings
  • Stable MIUI based on Android 14
  • Updated Android Security Patch to September 2023. Increased system security.

If you’re skeptical about downloading the update because of bugs, Xiaomi confirmed they have resolved some issues reported by early adopters. These include:

  • No call history after the update to Android 14
  • The phone cannot turn off the screen automatically
  • YouTube automatically adjusts the brightness when watching videos

Of course, the update is rolling out via OTA and will take time to arrive on every device. It might take longer than usual when installing the update, while some apps yet to adapt to Android 14 might behave abnormally sometimes.
