A few days ago, Xiaomi Mi 9 SE started receiving a stable beta MIUI 11 update. That came as a surprise to most users, given that the same device has already received the MIUI 12 update back in Xiaomi’s home country, China. That, however, has been the company policy on rolling out Major updates to its phones, but as expected, the global stable MIUI 12 for Mi 9 SE has now gone live.
The European users of the high-end device are also receiving the much-anticipated Android skin, alongside the global units. It’s hitting the European variants with a software number MIUI 12.0.1.0 QFBEUXM while the global users are getting it as MIUI 12.0.1.0 QFBEUXM.
The Global Stable MIUI 12 for Mi 9 SE is a 720MB package and comes with all the features. Unfortunately, the Super Wallpaper isn’t among those features that made it to the device, as Xiaomi is prioritizing that for its premium phone. Nonetheless, you will enjoy the new intuitive UI, Dark Mode, Floating Windows, and New system animation.
As usual, with all MIUI rollouts, it will first arrive for a few users, and if everything goes as expected, the public rollout will be initiated. Despite that, you can still scan for the update on System Updates and see if you’re among the selected few to receive the update. If not, then you should wait for the public rollout. It takes between 2-14 days, depending on the circumstances.
Meanwhile, we advise you to give the update time before downloading it, considering all the bugs that have been reported. Also, if you make use of Google Pay, particularly, in Europe, you might need to wait for feedback.
