Redmi 9 receives MIUI 12 update as global users bags a new update
Although the latest iteration of MIUI – MIUI 12.5 is weeks away to commence a stable rollout, some phones are yet to receive the MIUI 12 update. The latest Xiaomi phone to receive the update is Redmi 9 units in Turkey, but as usual, the update is on a limited rollout. Only a few selected users will receive the update pending when the preview will be completed. The global users are also receiving a stable MIUI 12 update, which bumps the security patch level to the latest version.
The global stable MIUI 12 update for the Redmi 9 is hitting eligible users with a version number – MIUI 12.0.3.0 QJCMIXM. It comes in a 173MB package and bumps the Android security patch level to January 2021 to improve system security.
