Canalys has just revealed the global top ten smartphones of Q3 2020. According to the chart put together by the market analyst firm, Xiaomi sub-brand, Redmi has three of its phones in the top ten on the chart. Interestingly, they’re the direct successor of last year’s best selling Xiaomi phones; Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A series.
The Redmi Note 9, which occupies the sixth position followed by the Redmi 9 on seventh and Redmi 9A on ninth, are the only Xiaomi phones that appeared on the list. Going by the data on the chart, Redmi shipped a total of 6 million units of the Redmi Note 9 globally, while 5.5 million Redmi 9 were also shipped at that time. The Redmi 9A, which is the last device from the company on the list, sold about 5 million units.
Apple and Samsung are other smartphone vendors on the list with two and five phones, respectively. Meanwhile, the iPhone 11, according to the list, is the most desired phone in that period, followed by the iPhone SE. The iPhone 11 sold a whopping 16 million units to lead the chart, followed by iPhone SE, with about 10 million shipments.
Samsung, however, could be the biggest winner with five of its products, making it to the top ten. The Galaxy A21s is the fan-favorite followed by the Galaxy A11 and then the Galaxy A51. Other Samsung phones on the list are the Galaxy A31 and the A01 Core.

From the chart, we could decode that when it comes to flagship phones, many people look at the way of iPhones. For mid-range phones, it has to be between Samsung and Redmi by Xiaomi, which is a promising sign for a company that has been in the market for just 10 years.
