Stable MIUI 12 and Android 10 now available for Redmi Note 8 users in India

While the global users are still finding it difficult to install the MIUI 12 ROM on their Redmi Note 8, the Indian users are beginning to report the arrival of the same update. However, as usual, with all MIUI updates, only some selected users in that region are going to receive the update for preview, and in the absence of any serious bugs, the public rollout will commence in days. 

The stable MIUI 12 update for Redmi Note 8 in India, meanwhile, is coming with a build number, MIUI 12.0.1.0 QCOINXM. It’s coming in a massive 2.0GB package, but that’s understandable as it comes with all the features of MIUI 12 and Android 10, even though the changelog has just new changes on it; updated Android Security patch to October 2020 and increased system security.

We expect the stable MIUI 12 update for the Redmi Note 8 in India to be ready for public rollout in the coming days. However, you can still go ahead and download the recovery ROM using the below links, but you’re probably going to encounter an error flashing the ROM.

And when such an error occurs, it is because the ROM is not yet ready for public rollout. The best thing should be to wait for OTA or try flashing the ROM again after some days.
