It’s good to see Xiaomi still supporting the Pad 5, with the Pad 6 series tipped to arrive in the coming months. The company has already released the new OS upgrade to Chinese models and is currently rolling out the much-anticipated upgrade to global units. However, it’s a limited rollout meaning only select users will get the OTA for preview.
Unlike the Android 12 rollout, Xiaomi Pad 5 series are swiftly receiving the Android 13 upgrade. It has been three weeks since the update arrived in China, and now available for international models but exclusive to Global ROM users.
The update is seeding with a version number MIUI 14.0.3.0 TKXMIXM and weighs 3.2GB. It brings a stable MIUI based on Android 13, February 2023 security patch to increase system security. Also, the search in settings is now more advanced, among other optimizations and bug fixes.
