The Google Maps update provides real-time availability information for charging ports at these stations, enabling EV drivers to avoid waiting in line and plan their charging stops more efficiently.
Google Maps introduces filtering options for charging stations based on charging speed. Users can choose to view “very fast” charging stations with chargers of 150 kilowatts or higher, enabling rapid charging in under 40 minutes. The “fast” charging filter displays stations with chargers of 50 kW or higher.
The Google Maps update also allows users to filter charging stations based on the plug type compatible with their specific EV. This feature ensures that users only see stations equipped with plugs that can accommodate their vehicle.
