The iPhone 15 Pro series’ capacitive buttons will include a specialized low-energy microprocessor that will function even when the phone’s battery is depleted. The chip detects user pushes and hold motions and provides Taptic Engine feedback. Users will be able to adjust the sensitivity of the buttons via Settings, and they will be able to use phone covers and even gloves.
The new low-energy chip within the iPhone 15 Pro series will also power the NFC, Bluetooth LE, and UW chips even when the device is turned off and the phone battery is entirely depleted.
