The cameras on an iPhone are one of the main reasons people buy them. There’s no doubting that the outputted photographs and videos have improved significantly with each subsequent release. This, however, comes at a cost: the amount of disk space they take up. Larger file sizes are associated with sharper photographs and videos, which might be an issue for individuals with limited storage.

While Apple has a storage optimization feature that allows users to offload images stored in iCloud, not everyone is willing to pay for iCloud Plus to increase the 5GB restriction. That’s where a ZIP file comes into play. A ZIP file is a compressed file that takes up less space. It also makes it easy to share many files with a single share action, which is quite useful when you need to convey a large amount of data.
