The dark mode feature is an optional setting that transforms the app’s UI background from white to black and the text from black to white. Since displaying darker pixels on an LED screen takes less power than displaying white pixels, dark mode uses less battery on your device. It’s also less taxing on the eyes, and many believe that it helps them sleep better, though this isn’t scientifically proven.

Dark Mode on Facebook

The basic user interface of dark mode has seen it available in many apps. Facebook is one of such apps that have this feature available. As a Facebook user, you can access this feature in the app just by enabling it. Below, we’ll discuss the steps on how to enable dark mode on Facebook via Android phones. Here is How to Enable Dark Mode on Facebook on Android Phones

  • To begin,  launch the Facebook app on your Android device.
  • Tap the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) in Facebook’s top-right corner.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the “Menu” screen and select “Settings & Privacy” from the drop-down menu.
  • Next, select “Settings” from the expanded “Settings & Privacy” menu.
  • Thereafter, select “Dark Mode” from the “Preferences” menu.
  • The “Dark Mode” page provides several options for controlling the app’s mode. You have the following options:

On: To activate Facebook’s dark mode, select this option.

Off: Toggle this option to turn off the dark mode.

Use system settings: If you select this option, Facebook will use the default mode on your phone. That means if you have dark mode activated on your Android phone, Facebook will use it as well.
