If you enjoy keeping track of your steps, the Apple Watch is one of the most convenient and accurate devices available. Steps can be tracked immediately on your Apple Watch with the Fitness app, or your iPhone with the Fitness app or the Health app. Once you’ve paired your Apple Watch with your iPhone and it’s up and running, it’ll track your steps automatically anytime you’re wearing it.

  • To see your progress for the current week, scroll down to the bottom of the list and tap Weekly Summary. This will show you the total amount of steps you’ve taken thus far.

  • To begin, launch your iPhone’s Fitness app.
  • Tap the Summary tab to continue.
  • Swipe down to see your average stats for Move, Stand, Distance, and more in the Trends section.
  • To see more information, click Show More.

Note: In the Health app’s Activity area, you can see your step history. Trends reflect if your movement, exercise, and distance activity are increasing or decreasing. To see daily, monthly, and yearly data, tap one of them.

  • To get started, get Pedometer++.
  • On your iPhone, open the Watch app.

  • Note that complications pull data from apps and display it on your Apple Watch’s face.
  • Select a place for the pedometer complication under Complications.
  • Select the specific information you wish to show on your Apple Watch face by clicking.
  • Next to today’s date, click the Calendar icon.
  • Choose a month and then tap on any day to see your current state.
  • The page that appears displays everything from your workout minutes to your total distance traveled and steps taken for the day.
