Introducing Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro
Xiaomi will be introducing the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro along with Redmi Note 5 (Redmi 5 Plus) tomorrow. The phone is coming as a power house to the Redmi Note 5 with Snapdragon 636 chip, coupled with 4/6GB RAM. It is expected to feature aluminum body with front glass, there will be a dual camera arrangement at the back, with massive 20MP sensor coming on the selfie camera. For maximum power delivery, the phone has been equipped with non-removable 4000mAh li-po battery.
Display
The display of Redmi Note 5 spots no difference from the Redmi 5 Plus, featuring The same 5.99-inch panel with 18:9 aspect ratio. The same resolution of 1080 x 2160 with 403 PPI, for the screen to body ratio, is still records the same 77.4%, which actually means that for the display, you will get the same performance with Redmi 5 Plus. Processor
The processor is where some surprise came in, with Xiaomi equipping the Note 5 Pro with a power house Snapdragon 636 chip, against the 625 that featured in Redmi Note 5. The CPU has Octa Core processor, with a frequency clocking at 1.8GHz Kryo 260. There is also Adreno 509 GPU onboard with 6GB RAM to ensure you get optimized performance with the Note 5 Pro.
Storage Performance
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro will be coming in a 3 RAM configurations, but in two internal memory configuration. There will be either a 3/32GB memory combo, or 4/664 or 6/64 memory configurations. Either one you may decide to go for, Note: the higher the RAM/ROM, the higher the price and vice-versa.
Camera
The Note 5 Pro records a big difference from the Note 5 with a dual camera arrangement at the top left back, like that of iPhone X. The shooters will have 12MP main senor, which will feature f/2.2 aperture lens and 1.25μm pixel size. For the 5MP sub shooter, it will feature f/2.0 aperture and 1.0μm pixel size. Other features of the camera includes face detection, geo-tagging, touch focus, wide angle, phase detection autofocus, dual tone flash and HDR.
The front facing camera of the Note 5 Pro will have a massive 20MP senor with f/2.0 and 1/ 2.8” sensor size, which will be capable of recording 1080p videos.
Security
The Fingerprint scanner comes at the back, just below the camera but at the center. For maximum mobile phone Security, the scanner has been well optimized and can record 5 different fingerprints. Apart from unlocking your phone, you can still make use of the scanner with taking shots.
Battery
Enough battery performance has been guaranteed with the Non-removable 4000mAh li-po battery. Going by the performance of the Redmi Note 5 and with the optimized 636 chip, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro will at least get up to 24 hours battery life, depending on the use. The battery also support 5V/2A quick charge technology, capable of feeling your juice in 190 minutes.
