Apple iOS 16.1 Beta 3 released: here’s everything new

The Apple iOS 16.1 beta rolled out some weeks ago bringing in some interesting features, and the iOS 16.1 Beta 2 followed by bringing in other features and probably better stability. Now we’ve got the Apple iOS 16.1 Beta 3 adding a few tweaks to the software.

Apple iOS 16.1 Beta 3 released: here's everything new

WWDC2 was the dawn of some sleek software – speaking of the new macOS, the iPadOS 16, and of course the iOS 16. Since its unveiling, the iOS 16 has been everything wonderful, thanks to a lot of features integrated into this software. However, the developers continue to push for more features and in turn, get feedback from users on how they see it- well, that’s what betas are for.

The iOS 16.1 beta 3 brings in a few features in addition to the previous beta features and it left out a feature that’s expected though. That’s the Freeform app (an app resembling Canva in a way, used to represent your ideas brilliantly) which is expected to go live once the iOS 16 is public. The Apple iOS 16.1 beta 3 doesn’t have it though, however, let’s take a look at what the iOS 16.1 beta 3 brings.

Features of the iOS 16.1 beta 3

An interesting feature from the iOS 16.1 beta 3 has to be the better Wallpaper UI. For users with different wallpapers for the Lock and Home screen, you can now switch between them. A feature was introduced via the previous beta, a section for paired Matter accessories, however, the iOS 16.1 beta 3 removes the feature. We don’t know the reason for this but the feature might be removed for better optimization and will be back in future releases.

Meanwhile, we’ve got the iOS 16.1 beta 2 and 1 before this and the Wallpaper UI feature from iOS 16.1 beta 3 will be a plus to the others. What others? There’s the Game Center Splash screen, Fitness Plus app without Apple Watch and Lock screen tweaks from beta 2 and there’s the Clean charging, Music app tweak and the status bar tweak from beta 1.

It’s also safe to assume that the iOS 16.1 beta 3 will be bringing stability to the aforementioned features from previous betas, let’s wait and see what other tweak Cupertino has up his sleeve.
