Since gaining independence, POCO has been expanding with its latest addition, the M2 Pro announced a couple of days ago. The sub-brand now has a total of four phones in its stable, which include Pocophone F1, Poco X2, POCO F2 Pro, and the Poco M Pro.
Although the company is now an independent brand, they still share a lot with the parent company, Xiaomi. Among them is the MIUI Android custom skin that runs on all POCO phones. Currently, the Poco X2 is getting a new Global Stable update.
The latest Poco X2 Global stable update is now arriving for everyone globally. It has a build number, MIUI 11.0.11.0 QGHINXM, and weighs in at 173MB. The update is a security patch build, which brings the June patch to improve the system security.

Aside from the changes that appeared on the changelog, the update fixes bugs and optimized system performance. Meanwhile, some people keep complaining of battery drain, saying the latest update didn’t do anything to that regard. However, it seems the issue only affects a particular group of users, because someone claims he gets 7+hours gaming with 120Hz refresh rateenabled.
Nevertheless, if you face battery drain issues with your Poco X2, you’re advised to turn off the face unlock feature and try to settle with a 60Hz refresh rate. Aside from the said issue, no other issue is affecting the device, and thus, you should download the update once you get a prompt notification. Also, you can check the updater app.
Regarding when the device will receive the MIUI 12 update, it hasn’t been confirmed yet, but Xiaomi is about to initiate the second phase of the rollout. It will see the Poco X2 receive the update and probably alongside Android 11 beta. That’s because the company, a few days ago, announced it will soon release Android 11 beta for the device.
