After the unveiling of Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro (Mi Note 10), a lot of people have changed their mindset about mid-range devices. The Mi Mix Alpha is the first smartphone to feature the 108MP before the Mi CC9 Pro commercially debuted the lens. Currently, the device is rated as the best camera smartphone in the world, having a joint score of 121 with Huawei Mate 30 Pro on the DOXmark leaderboard.
The sensor makes use of binning technology to combine each 0.8um pixel to 1.6um by combining four pixels, which results in a 27MP detailed image. However, you can shoot at 108MP, but that produces noise and you get better dynamic range sticking with 27MP.
We know numbers don’t mean performance, but Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro, says it does this time. And with the 108MP camera phone rocking horns with 2019 flagship, it means we are about to see the sensor debut on flagship smartphones in 2020.

Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha

Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha is a concept phone and is available in 500 units only. It’s the first wrap-around screen device with a 180.8% screen-to-body ratio, and also the first device to feature the 108MP camera lens.
The primary sensor comes with a 12MP telephoto lens and a 20MP ultra-wide angle sensor. It has a 4500mAh battery with support for 40W Quick Charge, unfortunately, there’s no 3.5mm headphone jack.
The device is selling for close to $3000 and even at that is not readily available.
Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro

Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro, the phone that took smartphone photography to an entirely new level. Competing with Huawei Mate 30 Pro, that’s selling for close to $2000.
The device is the second Xiaomi phone in our list of 108MP camera phone and will only set you back $449. At the back is five sensors, which include 5MP and 12MP telephoto lens, 20MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and 2MP macro snapper, while the front camera is 32MP shooter.
The battery is 5260mAh and supports 30W Quick Charge via USB power delivery, and outside the box, you get MIUI 11 User Interface.
Xiaomi Mi Note 10

Xiaomi Mi Note 10 is a Global version of the Mi CC9 Pro. It has a 6.47-inch AMOLED display with HDR 10, DCI-P3, and ultra-thin in-display Optical scanner.
The device runs a game-centric Snapdragon 730G processor with up to 12GB RAM. For the best camera performance, we recommend the premium 8P lens Edition, which features in DOXmark testing.

Xiaomi MI 10 pro

The camera king, currently the best camera phone in the world according to DXOMARK. The phone has a Quad camera arrangement of the primary 108MP 8MP lens. It’s better than what’s on Mi Note 10, and it’s accompanied by 20MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 12MP short telephoto lens, and 8MP long telephoto lens. The device can also shoot amazing videos at 8k, thanks to the OIS and EIS, and with the fast speed LDDPR5 RAM, the processing time won’t belong.
The device is also the best speakerphone, according to DXOMARK. However, it is priced at $715 and the first Xiaomi flagship to hit that figure. Xiaomi MI Note 10

Xiaomi is now crowding our list of 108MP camera phones. There are currently four phones from the Chinese company on the list. The Mi 10 has similar specs with the Pro version except for some a few downgrades in the camera features.
The device sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate, HDR 10+, DCI-P3, under-screen fingerprint scanner, all protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Outside the box is Android 10 on top MIUI 11 and will set back just $690.
Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra is where the company showcases its prowess in smartphone photography. The phone make use of the 108MP snapper but unlike what features in Mi Note 10, it makes use of 9-to-1 pixel binning technology for a detailed 12MP shot. Completing the Quad arrangement is 12MP ultrawide, 0.3MP, and TOF 3D depth sensor, while at the front is Dual 40MP shooter.
