Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G is the company’s first flagship device to support 5G internet connectivity. The device could only boast that as other privileges of a flagship phone were taken from it after hitting the shelves. It might not be a surprise, but the device still runs pre-installed Android OS over two years after hitting the shelves. Also, security patch builds never came until last year after so much agitation, and luckily, it now comes regularly. The current security update for Mi Mix 3 5G arrived in March, which came along with an Android security patch for that month. The device is on the last days of its support period, making it difficult to receive another major update. But unless Xiaomi wants to make up for the days it didn’t roll out an update to the device, support period will end in the coming months.

Xiaomi is pushing a new stable MIUI 12.0.7.0 PEMEUXM update to the Mi Mix 3 5G in Europe. It’s a different update from the one that arrived a couple of weeks ago, but could only push the Android security patch level to May 2021 to increase system security and stability.
