Xiaomi MI Mix 3 5G specs
Xiaomi has introduced the MI Mix 3 5G edition with Snapdragon 855 chip under the hood. Apart from the new SoC and the X50 modem, everything remains exact with the MI Mix 3 that was announced in Beijing last year.
The Xiaomi MI Mix 3 5G specs also include a 6.39-inch display, dual rear camera, and a dual pop up selfie shooter. The battery capacity is 3800mAh that supports both wireless and wired fast charging. There’re just two memory combos; 6/64GB and 6/128GB, while the OS is based on Android Pie on top MIUI 10 UI.

Display
Xiaomi MI Mix 3 5G is built around a massive 6.39-inch Super AMOLED display of 1080 x 2340 px and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The screen has a massive 80.5% body-to-screen ratio, thanks to the all screen display with the selfie camera mounted on a mechanical pop-up. Unfortunately, it only featured HDR 10, unlike MI 9 that has DCI-P3 for better color representation also. Nevertheless, you still get an enhanced screen experience with maximum durability as the screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Performance
The Xiaomi MI Mix 3 5G edition will surely outperform the previous version with Snapdragon 845 SoC. According to Qualcomm, the SD 855 which propels the new Mix 3 5G is 40% efficient compared to the predecessor. The SoC is paired with 6GB RAM to guarantee reasonable multitasking and Adreno 640 GPU to enhance the image experience. Xiaomi MI Mix 3 5G will run Android 9 (Pie) out of the box based on MIUI 10 skin.
Camera
The MI Mix 3 5G unlike the recently announced Xiaomi first flagship of the year has only a dual camera at the back, but it has two at the front, thanks to the mechanical pop-up. At the rear arrangement is a 12MP wide-angle lens with massive 1.4um pixel and unlike the MI 9, it has 4-axis OIS. The sub shooter is a 12MP telephoto lens, while the LED flash comes in between both.
Coming to the selfie snapper which is mounted on a mechanical pop-up, is a dual 24MP cam accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor and also a LED flash to help you get bright shot no matter the light condition.
Storage
Maybe the time has come we rely on online storage basically for Xiaomi users, because the internal storage of all their recently announced phones is barely up to 64GB, at best is 128GB. However, the Mi Mix 3 5G has just a two memory combo and is 64GB and 128GB non-expandable internal memory.
Battery
Powering the MI Mix 3 5G edition is a modest 3800mAh battery, which is exactly the same battery capacity that featured in the previous edition. It supports both wired and wireless charging but not close to what is obtainable in Mi 9, as regards speed.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G price will start from $680 for the 6/64GB variant. The price is $100 higher compared to the first generation, but you’ll be getting more enhanced CPU and GPU performance plus 5G connectivity. The device will be available from May in both offline and online stores.
