It has been a couple of months since Xiaomi started deploying MIUI 12.5 to eligible phones in its stable. Of course, the Mi 10T series phones are eligible for the update. It first arrived in China for the Redmi K30S, a reworked Mi 10T for the Chinese market. A few weeks after that, the European models of the device (Mi 10T / 10T Pro) started receiving the update. The rollout will soon be extended to global models, and according to reports, the Mi 10T / 10T Pro MIUI 12.5 update in India has been released for limited users.
The MIUI 12.5 update did bring lots of features, but they’re essentially system improvement and performance. And while it has addressed some of the bugs plaguing Xiaomi phones, some have persisted. For instance, the update has improved response to gestures, but the third-party launcher compatibility issue is still there. Also, the ugly square chat bubbles and keyboard overlapping with floating windows are still there. You’ll have to stick with the MIUI system launcher until a build that fixes the issue rolls out.
Meanwhile, according to early adopters of the update, it has addressed most of the frustrating bugs left by the Android 11 update. That means the update is safe and didn’t introduce any bug either. However, it will take some time before appearing on your device, having tagged Stable Beta. But you can use the download link below if you have an authorized Mi Beta account or TWRP recovery installed.
Hopefully, the Mi 10T / 10T Pro MIUI 12.5 update in India will get to the public soon. Also, we hope to see the rollout extend to other regions as well. That said, you should follow our tracker page to know when the update arrives in your region.
