Xiaomi might be planning to present MIUI 13 next month in China, given the latest teaser from MIUI Weibo handle in China. That, if true, will be in line with the company’s CEO’s early announcement that the next iteration of MIUI will arrive towards the end of the year. However, many eligible phones are yet to receive the Enhanced Edition of MIUI 12.5. The build is expected to arrive on all Xiaomi phones as it has already made its way to mid-range Redmi Note 10 5G / POCO M3 Pro 5G in China. Interestingly, the Mi 11 Ultra Enhanced Edition of MIUI 12.5 in Europe has just been released.
The update first arrived in China and surprisingly headed to Indonesia, skipping the global and European models. Those in Europe are beginning to get the update. It brings the expected features to improve performance and provide more life between charges. That’s by introducing features like Liquid Storage, Focused Algorithm, Atomized Memory, and Smart Balance. Aside from these features, the update has bumped the Android security patch level to September 2021 to increase system security.
Of course, that’s not all. The Mi 11 Ultra Enhanced Edition of MIUI 12.5 in Europe supposedly brought that virtual RAM function. The feature converts part of the device’s internal storage to virtual RAM. That can be activated via this link, and it works when an app or game starts pushing the device to its limits.
Meanwhile, the update has a version number – MIUI 12.5.10.0 RKAEUXM. It’s currently seeding for Mi Pilots and will make its way to the public in the next coming days. If you can’t wait for the OTA, then you can download it via the links below.
