Redmi 10X Pro starts pushing MIUI 12.5 update in China

The Redmi 10X Pro is the latest phone to start pushing the MIUI 12.5 update in China. That comes a few hours after the update was released for the Redmi 10X 5G. Both rollouts are exclusive to Chinese users as the device never made to global markets. As expected, it’s a limited rollout, which will see the update available for select users for preview.

The MIUI 12.5 update for Redmi 10X Pro is a stable release, having passed the internal tests. However, a few users will receive the update to preview the build for bugs, after which the public rollout will commence. That should be in a couple of days, given that early adopters are yet to report any performance-threatening bug on the new update. We expected that after the promise made by Xiaomi to improve the stability of its releases – something MIUI 12.5 is all about.

With MIUI 12.5, Xiaomi has improved its in-house Android skin. Response to gestures are now instant, and with custom device model adjustment, your Redmi 10X Pro becomes faster after the upgrade. Also, few optimizations have made the device faster, smoother and lighter. Meanwhile, the MIUI 12.5 update has a version number – MIUI 12.5.2.0 RJLCNXM – and weighs in at 589MB. It will be available for everyone in the coming days, but you can download the Recovery ROM using the link below. And in case you don’t have an authorized Mi Beta account or TWRP Recovery installed, you’ll have to wait for the OTA to arrive on your device.
