Xiaomi developers, for some time now, have focused their attention on MIUI 12.5, and with MIUI 13 rumored to debut next month, there is probably more work to do now. But that’s not stopping the deployment of Android 11 to eligible phones yet to get the update, perhaps, regions. The global Redmi Note 9S is the latest phone to start getting a stable Android 11-based MIUI 12 update globally. Of course, it sans MIUI 12.5 but brings a new Android OS to more users.
The new global Android 11-based MIUI 12 update for Redmi Note 9S is on a limited rollout. At the time of this writing, only Mi Pilots are receiving the update for beta preview. It’s a stable beta build, meaning developers need time to see if it’s good enough for public rollout. They’ll come to that conclusion in the coming days after the preview, which is when you’ll probably receive the new global Android 11-based MIUI 12 update for Redmi Note 9S.
The update is hitting eligible users with a version number – MIUI 12.0.2.0 RJWMIXM – and weighs in at 748MB. Aside from bringing a stable MIUI based on Android 11, the update bumps the security patch level to April 2021 to increase system security. There’s a new adjustment on the Xiaomi cloud, and of course, bug fixes.
To check for the new update, you should go to Updater App or use the link below to download and install manually. But that will probably return an error unless you have TWRP Recovery installed or an authorized Mi beta account. Aside from those two options, you show to wait for the update to start seeding to the public.

Xiaomi has now released the Android 11-based MIUI 12 update for Redmi Note 9S in Turkey. The update has a version number – MIUI 12.0.2.0 RJWTRXM – and comes with a stable MIUI based on Android 11.
