Xiaomi has now released a new Mi 9 Lite Global stable update. The update started arriving a few hours ago, and it’s coming with a version number MIUI 11.0.2.0 QFCMIXM. It weighs in at a staggering 2.3G, but it’s just a patch update.
On the update changelog, is an updated Android security patch for April. However, as usual, the update has also fixed some bugs as well as improved system security and performance. More interestingly, it has restored the selfie camera animation, so if you have missed that particular feature, it’s now back with the new Mi 9 Lite Global stable update.

It’s surprising for a patch update to come in a 2.3GB package, but it is what it is, at least, from the Changelog. However, the good thing is that the update is safe, you should go ahead, and download once you get a notification. Otherwise, you should go to the Updater app and scan for a new update. But remember that updates are sent out in batches, as such, it will take some time before it finally gets to all compatible phones.
