Xiaomi already initiated the Beta rollout of the MIUI 12 to selected devices around the globe. The update, which is exclusively for Mi 9T, Mi 9T Pro ( AKA Redmi K20, and K20 Pro), also arrived for the Global Mi 9 users, excluding the European users. But all that has changed now as a new MIUI 12 Beta stable update for Mi 9 starts arriving in Europe.
The new MIUI 12 Beta stable update for Mi 9 is arriving with a build number – MIUI 12.0.0.9 QFAEUXM. It’s a patch update, which brings some of the MIUI 12 features to the device and weighs in at 1.1GB. On the changelog is only two changes; increased system stability and reduced system lag, but that’s not all. The update arrived with other changes such as Floating Window, Dark mode 2.0, Super Live wallpapers, Revamped UI, new control center, new camera modes, among other MIUI 12 features.
But unfortunately, not all Xiaomi Mi 9 units are getting a notification for the new update. Although it’s a staged rollout, it will only be available for Mi Pilots and Beta testers that were recruited before the Global launch. However, the public rollout, according to the roadmap, will start arriving this month. It means you won’t have to wait much longer before you receive the MIUI 12 Stable update.
Xiaomi is expected to roll out the MIUI 12 Stable update to Mi 9, Mi 9T, Mi 9T Pro, towards the tail of this month. The second stage will see the likes of Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 8 Pro, Mi 8, Mi 8 Pro, and other Xiaomi phones sold globally receive the update.
The Redmi Note 8, according to reports, will get the update in July. The update will likely come along with the much anticipated Android 10. Also, the Mi Mix 3 5G is expected to get the update as well, after the recent reports that came directly from Xiaomi customer support in the UK.
