New build – MIUI 12.0.2.0 QCOMIXM – available for download below …
It’s been weeks since Xiaomi released the stable MIUI 12 update to the global Redmi Note 8 units, which was later followed by the Indian rollout. The update has since started arriving for everyone after no bug was detected during the preview phase, but those Redmi Note 8 users on V11.0.11.0 are yet to receive the update to date.
According to feedback from moderators, developers are aware of the bug and are currently working on a fix. The last comment made on the issue was by a Mi Tech Team member, who alleged the update might start arriving next month. But according to a new report, the Redmi Note 8 users on V11.0.11.0 might not wait until next month to start receiving the stable MIUI 12 update.
The latest report from the Xiaomiui telegram group, which focuses on only Xiaomi news and also keeps accurate track of all MIUI update, has alleged that the second MIUI 12 build for the Redmi Note 8 is ready. The build has a version number, “MIUI 12.0.2.0 QCOMIXM,” and will soon start arriving on eligible units. That will see those Redmi Note 8 users on v11.0.11.0 finally received the MIUI 12 update.
“Announcement to the Redmi Note 8 crying club:
V12.0.2.0.QCOMIXM is ready. So those in V11.0.11.0.PCOMIXM will get FINALLY.”
Although the channel didn’t give a tentative ETA as to when the update will start arriving, we think it will now arrive before the previous December time frame. We are only halfway through the month, and since the update is ready, it would be the best thing to start sending it out. However, if the update starts seeding, only selected users, as usual, are going to receive it for preview, after which the public rollout will commence.
That said, we will have our eyes on the development and will continue updating this space with new information. Also, we will report it here once the update starts arriving, finally.
