Xiaomi again starts pushing another underwhelming update to Redmi Note 8. The device is still stuck on Android Pie with the Pro variant already on a new OS. When Xiaomi released Note 8 Pro, questions were asked about the decision to use a MediaTek chip because it was believed the processor doesn’t get timely updates.

Meanwhile, the new Redmi Note 8 update is arriving for the Indian and Indonesia variant. The update is based on Android Pie, but comes with an updated android security patch, system optimization, and has revamped the start page while optimizing some features.
