A new Redmi Note 9S Global Stable update is now available. The update started dropping today, which is exactly three weeks after MIUI 11.0.1.0 was rolled out. That’s one of the benefits of a new device, frequent and timely updates.
The update is arriving with a build number MIUI 11.0.3.0 QJWMIXM. It’s aimed at bug fixes, system security, and improvement. Below is the full Changelog of the new Redmi Note 9S Global stable update.

Others
- Optimization: increased system security
- Optimization: Reduced System lag
The update will progressively arrive on all compatible devices [ running official MIUI ROM] through OTA. And because it’s a staged rollout, it will likely take some time before arriving. Nevertheless, you can still check the updater app to see if the update has arrived for you. Also, we have added a link so you can manually download and flash the ROM on your own, but at your own risk.
Meanwhile, about the battery draining issue most users claim to experience after updating to a new MIUI ROM, it’s important to give the device a few days for the battery cycle to adjust. We have seen users that complained of battery draining issues say the battery backup came back to normal after some days.
