A new update has now been released for the Redmi Note 7/7S. Unfortunately, the update isn’t the much-anticipated MIUI 12 update, which already arrived on Chinese models, a couple of weeks ago. The delay, however, is as a result of system stability issues and bugs. With that said, the Redmi Note 7 will probably start receiving the MIUI 12 update in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, the new stable update for the Redmi Note 7/7S is a monthly security fix. It brings the September patch, which has improved the system security as well. Thus far, only those in India are currently getting the update and will start appearing on a global device soon.
However, even in India, only a few people have received the update. It depends on their feedback, and if positive, the general public will start receiving the update as well. But then, you can follow the download link below this post and get the recovery ROM. You can flash the ROM using the recovery method.
