It’s nothing new how Xiaomi reworks the same phone and launches it under a different moniker. That was the case with the Mi 10T. The device arrived in Europe with the Pro and Lite variants before making it to China, where it’s available as Redmi K30S. Of course, both phones have the same development — run Snapdragon 865 and sports the same design. They’re no doubt eligible for the MIUI 12.5, which has already arrived for the Redmi K30S in China. We thought the next update would bring the latest MIUI Android skin to the Mi 10T/Pro, but it is a security update that’s seeding.
The New Xiaomi Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro stable update sans the much-anticipated MIUI 12.5. It only has a single change on the log, “Location info can now be reported automatically before the device is powered on.” However, we doubt that as the only change for a 668MB update package, hinting at bug fixes and possibly preparing the device ahead of MIUI 12.5. The update has a version number – MIUI 12.1.3.0 RJDMIXM – for the global variants.
Meanwhile, the current update is exclusive to Mi Pilots. These are stable beta testers. Their work is to preview stable builds for bugs before public rollout. And depending on how smooth the update might start rolling out for everyone in the coming days. You can check for the new Xiaomi Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro stable update via the updater app if you were recruited as a beta tester. If not, you should wait for the public rollout to commence in the coming days.
