The latest Xiaomi phones to start receiving the October security patch are Mi CC9 Pro and Mi 10 Lite. Both phones have since bagged the MIUI 12 update and are now receiving subsequent builds.
As usual, the update will first arrive for selected users for preview, after which the public will start getting the update. Hence, if you have checked for the update via system updates and nothing is there, you can either check back or use the download link below.
Meanwhile, the October security patch update for the Mi CC9 Pro is arriving with a build number, MIUI 12.0.2.0 QFDCNXM. It’s for the Chinese version of the device and will progressively arrive for eligible users over the next few days. For the Mi 10 Lite, the global models are receiving a MIUI 12.0.1.0 QJIMIXM and weigh in at 411MB. However, you should expect a bigger sized update if you’re yet to receive the MIUI 12 update for the first time.
Aside from bumping the security patch to October, the update brings optimization for the control center layout in landscape mode while fixing bugs.
