Yes, the new Redmi Note 9 variants will be launching on November 26 in China. But unlike the previous models that debuted in India a couple of months ago, this new variant will support a 5G network. It’s expected that three new phones will be making their debut on that day, and one of them has now appeared on Geekbench listing ahead of next week’s launch.
The Redmi Note 9 variant that appeared on the benchmark website is believed to be the Pro variant. It runs an Octa-Core SoC with a frequency speed of 1.8GHz, paired with an 8GB RAM, and runs Android 10. The processor, meanwhile, matches the recently released Snapdragon 750G, meaning we’re likely to see a reworked Mi 10T-Lite.
As for performance, the device scored 645 in a single-core test and was able to pull 1963 points in the multi-core tests. The scores are impressive compared to the Snapdragon 720-powered Redmi Note 9 series. We also hope that the price will be impressive (affordable) as well. And luckily, we only have a few more days to wait till we learn about the pricing and availability.
According to the TENAA listing, the Pro model will sport a 6.67-inch LCD panel, while the regular variant will feature a 6.53-inch display. It will run Mediatek Dimensity 800U SoC and will come in multiple memory configurations. The Pro model is expected to debut with a primary 108MP camera and a high refresh rate.
