[Update: September 13] POCO F3 Random reboots acknowledged, a fixed build to start seeding from September 15

The supposed fixed build for POCO F3 random reboots now available for download. Check below

The recent POCO F3 random reboots were never imagined, not after the hype from Xiaomi during the official presentation. It seems the company hurriedly rolled out the update as we weren’t expecting it until next month, given the official roadmap. The announcement said the update (MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition) will start seeding for global variants from Q4. However, with the current situation, it might take time before the rollout is restarted. And luckily for the POCO F3 users, a fixed build for the buggy update is now ready and will start seeding in the next few days.

POCO F3 Random reboots seem a minor issue at first. It looked like what a hard reset can address or something that’ll stop with time. Unfortunately, it didn’t, and few people who changed their region to fix it had the issue resurfaced after some time. So far, nothing seems to work, and it doesn’t look like POCO knows the cause of the problems. Perhaps, they forgot to report that, or they did that intentionally. But the good thing is that a fixed build is ready to start seeding in the coming days.

Meanwhile, a little dig on the issue when it first surfaced showed it was caused by “Framework.” We don’t know which framework exactly, but we care less about that, so far, the issue is resolved. From the report on the POCO community forum, the problem has been analyzed. Interestingly, a fixed build will start seeding from September 15.

Of course, the rollout has since been suspended. It’s a stable MIUI 12.5.3.0 RKHMIXM, so you shouldn’t go downloading it. We expect the fixed build to arrive with a different version number. Also, we will report the arrival of the new update once it is released. Hopefully, there won’t be a setback this time.

Update: September 13, 2021

A new update is now seeding to the global POCO F3 users. The current build is supposed to start arriving on September 15, but Xiaomi has once again beat its schedule. They’re now rolling out a fixed build for the POCO F3 random reboots. Check out the fu post here.
