Ahead of today’s launch, Xiaomi has just released the first POCO F3 stable update. The device, from the look of things and rumors, is a rebadged Redmi K40. Hence, the device will run a Snapdragon 870 SoC with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The display is a 6.67-inch super AMOLED panel of 1080 x 2400p resolution with support for HDR10+ and 1300nits peak brightness. It refreshes at 120Hz and sits under a Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
For optics, the device is equipped with a primary 48MP sensor, 8MP ultrawide angle-lens, and 5MP macro shooter, while the selfie camera features a 20MP snapper. The device will run Android 11 on top of MIUI 12 outside-of-the-box, making it eligible for MIUI 12.5. The next iteration of Xiaomi Android skin will start rolling out next month, and the POCO F3 will receive it.
Meanwhile, the first POCO F3 stable update has been released as the wait for MIUI 12.5 just began. The update is based on MIUI 12 and is to optimize system performance and stability. It has a version number – MIUI 12.0.1.0 RKHEUXM – and is a stable release. If you plan to purchase the POCO F3 after the launch today, you will receive the new update after setting up your device.
How to flash POCO F3 stable update: Recovery
First, you need to download the recovery ROM and then move it to your device’s internal memory. After, you should head to Updater App and click on the three dots on the top left. Click choose update package and select the ROM that you downloaded. The system will verify the ROM, and once the verification is completed, the flashing will commence.
