POCO M4 Pro 5G Android 12 update is now available
The latest device to receive the Android 12 update is the POCO M4 Pro 5G. It’s the global models receiving the much-anticipated upgrade, which is expected to expand to other regions soon.
POCO M4 Pro 5G debuted late last year with Android 11 on top of MIUI 12. That makes the device eligible for Android 12 and MIUI 13, both upgrades which are now rolling out to global users. The device is also eligible for Android 13 and probably will arrive next year with MIUI 14.
Meanwhile, the POCO M4 Pro 5G Android 12 update is seeding with a version number MIUI 13.0.2.0 SGBMIXM. It brings a stable MIUI based on Android and bumps the device’s security patch level to June 2022. Supposedly, it has increased system security and stability while patching over 41 security and privacy vulnerabilities.
The update introduced the Android 12’s notification permission that alerts you when an app is accessing your camera, location, or microphone. Also, there have been some optimizations and improvements in the device’s performance.
