POCO X2 MIUI 12.5 update released in India

Perhaps, that should have been seeded much earlier as the device is only a reworked version of the Redmi K30 4G. The duo debuted in December 2019 with Android 10 on top of MIUI 11. Xiaomi has since upgraded them to Android 11 with MIUI 12. A couple of weeks ago, they started pushing a stable MIUI 12.5 update to the Redmi K30 4G in China but have waited till now to release the POCO X2 MIUI 12.5 update. As usual, the rollout is exclusive to Mi Pilots, pending the outcome of the preview.

The update carries a software version number – MIUI 12.5.1.0 RGHINXM. It is tagged with features of the new OS. After upgrading your device to the latest iteration of MIUI, it becomes possible to uninstall some system apps. Xiaomi has reduced power consumption and background memory usage with this update and has improved gesture response time. They also improved animation, added new system sounds, enhanced security, fixed some bugs affecting notifications and others. However, the third-party launcher compatibility problem and the square chat bubbles haven’t been fixed yet.

There’s a mixed reaction about the MIUI 12.5 update. Few users reported battery drain after upgrading, while some saw their battery life improve after the upgrade. However, the device might need some time to adjust after upgrading to a new MIUI OS. Hence, if you experience issues with the battery, we recommend you give it some time.

Again, the POCO X2 MIUI 12.5 update is a limited release at the moment. However, you can download via the links below with your authorized Mi Beta account. Also, it will be possible to flash the ROM via TWRP recovery if you have one installed.
