Xiaomi sub-brand, POCO, will tomorrow announce a new mid-range smartphone for the global customers. The device will answer POCO X3 NFC and is going to be the first time since 2018, after the unveiling of POCO F1, that the company will release a non-rebranded Redmi phone.
Also, it is going to be the first device to feature the newly released Snapdragon 732G Octa-Core processor. The SoC promises a 15% performance uplift compared to the predecessor Snapdragon 730G. And coupled with the LiquidCool Technology 1.0 Plus vapor chamber cooling, the POCO X3 will deliver a peak gaming performance and seamless multitasking.
Meanwhile, from the official teaser released thus far, we can confirm the primary 64MP camera. It will be flanked by additional three sensors and a LED flash. The device will draw power from a beefy 5160mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging. It’s the same charging speed on the M2 Pro but takes between 20 minutes to hit 30% instead of 30 minutes.
Like the POCO X2, the X3 NFC will feature a 120Hz refresh and a Touch sampling rate of 240Hz. The display is expected to measure 6.67-inch diagonally, and from all indications, it’s going to be an LCD panel. We might as well see a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
As for pricing, the device will be priced fairly, as always. Recent reports show that Poco will offer the X3 starting at $229, which is the price launch of the Poco X2. After the unveiling tomorrow, the first flash sale has already been scheduled for September 8. There’ll be a special discount for early buyers, and you might start preparing your wallet now.
Of course, the Poco X3 NFC will run stable MIUI 12 outside-of-the-box. It will be based on Android 10 but will receive Android 11 in the future, probably with MIUI 13. We hope to learn everything about the device tomorrow after the presentation.
