With stable MIUI 12 set to start arriving this month, the $85 Redmi 7A was expected to receive Android 10 along with the build. That turned out to be wrong when Xiaomi released a stable Android 10 build for the Chinese variant of the phone, which arrived some days ago.

The Chinese variants are always the first to get any major OS upgrade, and it was no different with the Redmi 7A Android 10 rollout. However, the Global variants are now receiving a stable update based on MIUI 11.

The update has a build number, MIUI 11.0.1.0 QCMEUXM, and bumps the Android security patch level to May 2020. It also comes with system stability, security, and improvement, while fixes minor bugs.

  • Stable MIUI 11 based on Android 10
  • Updated Android security patch to May 2020
  • Improved system security

The update will start arriving for other regions soon, but meanwhile, we have added a link below this post from where you can manually download and flash the build. However, it’s believed to be a Stable Beta build, which means you might need an authorized Mi Account to be able to flash the ROM.

Using TWRP Recovery if you don’t have an authorized Mi account is the best way to flash the ROM, but that’ll require the Bootloader to be unlocked. According to feedback in the Mi community forum, the Redmi 7A Android 10 update is stable and working smoothly. With that, the update will start arriving for the public in a few hours, so you might as well wait for public release, instead of flashing manually.

Nevertheless, here are the details of the update; Build number is MIUI 11.0.1.0 QCMEUXM. The codename is ‘Pine’, and the package weighs in at 1.6GB. To download, you have to follow this link, but try flashing via recovery before installing TWRP Recovery.
