The Redmi 9T is the same device as Redmi Note 9 4G that debuted in China last year. It arrived on the global market a couple of days ago under Redmi T-series. Redmi 9T specs
The Redmi 9T has a different design from Note 9T. It makes use of a rectangular camera bump, unlike the latter that uses a circular camera island. Around the front panel is a waterdrop notch instead of a dot display, and is made of Gorilla Glass 3. The back and frame are made of plastic, while the USB-C port, speaker grills, and headphone jack sit on the bottom frame. The volume rocker and power button/fingerprint retain their usual position.

Sitting on the front panel is a 6.53-inch IPS LCD panel. It refreshes at 60Hz and has 1080 x 2340p resolution. The 20:9 aspect ratio panel features 400nits of brightness, and with the Gorilla Glass 3, maximum protection is guaranteed. The device adds extra protection with its water repellent coating.
Redmi 9T performance
Powering the device is Snapdragon 662 Octa-Core processor. It’s built on an 11nm node and has four power cores clocked at 2.0Hz and four efficient cores at 1.8GB. Coupled with up to 6GB RAM and Adreno 610 GPU, the Redmi 9T will deliver decent details and multitasking. Outside-of-the-box, you get MIUI 12 on top of Android 10.

A total of five sensors is what’s on the Redmi 9T. On the rear side is a primary 48MP shooter. It’s paired with 8MP ultrawide angle-lens, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensor, while the front snapper has an 8MP shooter. Unfortunately, it can’t shoot 4k videos, and you have to settle with 1080p@30fps. You’d get better shooting with the Note 9T or Mi 10i/Mi 10T Lite.
