Redmi K30S Ultra receives Android 12 with MIUI 13 in China as Mi 10T / Pro waits for the upgrade
Xiaomi recently completed the first wave of the MIUI 13 deployment in China while announcing the start of the second phase. They’re already sending out the build to eligible phones with the Redmi K30S Ultra, the latest to get the update. That is also a piece of good news for the Mi 10T / Pro users, as the device might start pushing the update in the coming days/weeks.
The Xiaomi Mi 10T / Pro, which is the predecessor of the Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro, has its presence in China as Redmi K30S Ultra. Both phones have the same development, only that K30S Ultra runs the Chinese ROM, and as such, has more features. Nevertheless, with the former now getting the much anticipated Android 12-MIUI 13 updates, it means the latter would soon receive the update globally.
The update is currently exclusive in China. It’s arriving with a version number – MIUI 13.0.1.0 SJDCNXM and is based on Android 12. That confirms Android 12 for the Mi 10T / Pro phones, but unfortunately, we don’t know when the update will be available. Nevertheless, there have been few additions, at least, for the Chine ROM users. The Redmi K30S Ultra Android 12-based MIUI 13 update has introduced a new MiSans font, new wallpapers, Sidebar, control center, and optimized security features. Check out the complete changes here.
Aside from the notable changes, there have been improvements in system performance and stability. Also, the Android security patch level has been pushed to January 2022 to increase security.
