Android 12

Redmi K40 Gaming / POCO F3 GT and Redmi Note 10 Android 12 update testing has started internally

Google is expected to release the stable Android 12 next month in the same event it will announce Pixel 6 and Pixels 6 Pro. The build is currently on the fifth and final Beta, meaning it has reached platform stability. It means there’ll be no changes going forward, and that is why Xiaomi has started releasing MIUI based Android 12 builds to closed beta testers. The Mi 11 Ultra is the last device to receive the update, while the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro / Max and Redmi 10 entered the internal testing. And going by the recent reports, the Redmi K40 Gaming / POCO F3 and Redmi Note 10 Android 12 update internal testing has started.

Redmi K40 Gaming / POCO F3 GT and Redmi Note 10 Android 12 update testing has started internally

The Android 12 update internal testing has been going on for months now. It started with the premium Xiaomi phones, of which few of them have received the update in the closed beta group. And with more devices now entering the internal testing stage, we might be in for a swift Android 12 rollout. Unfortunately, among the Redmi K40 Gaming/POCO F3 GT and Redmi Note 10, the former is what’s available in China. That means the Android 12 build will soon start seeding to closed beta groups. As for the Redmi Note 10, it will take a longer time before the update starts seeding. That’s because, unlike the Redmi K40 Gaming, the device isn’t available in China, and hence, no close beta tests.

And while there’s a long way to go before the update reached the stable ROM users, it’s a good thing that Xiaomi has started testing the builds already. Hopefully, things go smoothly, and we get to see the Redmi K40 / POCO F3 GT and Redmi Note 10 Android 12 update soon. Perhaps, few months after Google releases the stable version. And if the rumors are true, we expect the build to arrive officially on October 19, which is a few weeks from now.
