Xiaomi has released the Android 13-based MIUI build to a handful of devices in the last couple of days. The distribution started with the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro in China before it extended to the global variants. As expected, the company is now rolling out Redmi K50 Pro Android 13-based MIUI build to eligible users in China.
The Redmi K50 Pro Android 13-based MIUI 13 build is part of the recently released China public beta update. It’s exclusive to those participating in the closed beta test and can be identified with version number V13.22.8.9.DEV. Arriving with the build is stable MIUI based on Android 13 and a few other customization and improvements.
Aside from customization and improvements, there are some bug fixes. They include fixes for gesture problems, battery lifetime display of 0:00 minutes, and unlock interface issues. It also resolves the DouYin playback noise.
Meanwhile, there are known issues, which have been highlighted, and it makes sense to check them before installing the build.
This update is an Android cross-version upgrade. In order to reduce the upgrade risk, it is recommended to back up personal data in advance. The loading time of this update is relatively long, and performance and power consumption problems such as overheating and sim card read errors may occur in a short time after startup, please wait patiently. Some third-party applications will affect normal use due to their lack of version adaptation. Please upgrade carefully.
